Air India

Air India is owned by the Indian Government and runs as Air India Limited. It was founded in July 1993 by Tata Airlines. Air India’s header quarter is based in Delhi as an Indian Airline House. It has four major hubs Indira Gandhi International Airport Delhi, Chattrapati Shivaji International Airport Mumbai, Chennai International Airport, and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport Kolkata. Air India has 91 destinations 60 domestics, and 31 internationals. It has widely spread service in 19 countries in Australia, Asia Europe, and North America.

Jet Airways

Jet Airways comes on the second number for its popularity and service quality while the first is Air India. It was founded in 1992, and its headquarter is based in Mumbai. Jet operates 1000 flights per day and covers 73 destinations across the world while 52 are domestic and 21 international destinations across Asia, Europe, and North America. The main hub is Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, and secondary hubs are at Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkata, and Delhi international airports.

SpiceJet

SpiceJet is another low-cost Indian airline owned by the Sub Group of India. It has its registered office in Chennai and corporate head office in Gurgaon India. SpiceJet has three main hubs Chennai International Airport, Indira Gandhi International Airport, and Rajiv Gandhi International Airport Hyderabad, and secondary hubs are Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport Mumbai and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport Kolkata. The Airline covers 57 destinations including domestic and international while 47 Indian and 10 international destinations.

Kingfisher 

Kingfisher is an Indian airline founded in 2003. Its head office is based in Mumbai. In Oct 2012 its license was suspended and revoked in Feb 2013. Bengaluru International Airport is the main hub of Kingfisher Airlines, and other hubs are Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport Mumbai and Indira Gandhi International Airport Delhi. It covers 25 destinations through India.

JetKonnect

JetKonnect has its marketing name JetLite and is based in Mumbai India. First, it was founded in 1991 as Air Sahara but later merged with Jet Airways and re-branded as JetLine. It is a domestic Indian airline and started service in 2012 as JetKonnect. Indira Gandhi International Airport Delhi is the main hub while Mumbai and Kolkata International Airports are secondary hubs of JetKonnect. It flies to 30 destinations across all of India.

Air India Express 

Air India Express is a low-cost and domestic airline in India. Headquarter is based in Kochi, Kerala. It was founded in May 2004. Its operational hubs are Calicut International Airport, Cochin International Airport, and Trivandrum International Airport. Air India Express covers 29 destinations across India and Thailand, Srilanka, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Malaysia Kuwait, Oman, and Singapore, etc as of Jan 2014.
